These Terms of Service constitute a legally binding agreement. By using AlgoJob, you agree to all terms outlined below. Please read carefully before proceeding.
Company Information
1. Acceptance of Terms
1.1 These Terms of Service ("Terms", "ToS", or "Agreement") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you", or "your") and AlgoRoot Private Limited ("AlgoRoot", "Company", "we", "us", or "our") governing your access to and use of the AlgoJob platform and all associated services.
1.2 By accessing, browsing, registering on, or using the AlgoJob platform (including website, mobile application, and any other digital interfaces), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms in their entirety.
1.3 If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must immediately discontinue use of the AlgoJob platform and all associated services.
1.4 These Terms apply to all users of the platform, including but not limited to students, job-seekers, educational institutions, businesses, recruiters, and corporate clients.
1.5 By using our services, you also agree to comply with our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
2. Eligibility
You must meet certain eligibility requirements to use the AlgoJob platform:
- •You must be at least 18 years of age. Users between 13 and 18 may use the platform only with parental or guardian supervision and approval.
- •All information provided during registration must be accurate, current, and complete.
- •Corporate users must be duly authorized to represent their organization.
- •Prohibited users include those previously suspended, competitors seeking misuse, individuals engaged in fraudulent activities, and automated bots.
5. AI Services Disclaimer
AlgoJob utilizes artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies. Please note:
- •NO GUARANTEE OF ACCURACY: AlgoRoot makes no warranty regarding the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated evaluations, scores, recommendations, or assessments.
- •AI systems may produce errors, biases, inconsistencies, or unexpected results due to inherent limitations of machine learning technology.
- •NO JOB PLACEMENT GUARANTEE: AlgoJob DOES NOT guarantee job placement, employment, or hiring outcomes for any user.
- •Performance on AlgoJob assessments does not guarantee selection, job offers, or employment by any organization.
- •AI evaluations should be considered as one input among many factors and should not be solely relied upon.
- •Users are responsible for understanding the limitations of AI-based assessments.
7. Hackathons and Rewards
Participation in hackathons and competitions is subject to specific rules:
Participation Requirements
- •Meet specific event requirements (age, location, skills, team size)
- •Adhere to all competition rules, guidelines, and deadlines
- •Submit original work created within specified timeframe
Disqualification Conditions
- •Plagiarism or copying code without proper attribution
- •Creating multiple accounts to manipulate results
- •Using prohibited tools or unauthorized assistance
- •Attempting to hack or compromise competition infrastructure
- •Harassment or unethical behavior
Reward Distribution
- •Winners must provide accurate payment information and tax details (PAN card for Indian residents)
- •Rewards typically distributed within 30-90 days of competition completion
- •Winners are solely responsible for all applicable taxes (TDS may be deducted)
- •Rewards are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash
- •AlgoRoot reserves the right to substitute rewards with alternatives of equal or greater value
9. Intellectual Property Rights
All intellectual property in the AlgoJob platform belongs to AlgoRoot:
- •Software code, algorithms, AI models, and platform design are owned by AlgoRoot
- •Brand names, logos, trademarks (AlgoRoot, AlgoJob) are proprietary marks
- •Users receive only a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the platform
- •Users may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the platform
- •Feedback provided to AlgoRoot grants us a perpetual, royalty-free license to use it
11. Data Privacy and Security
AlgoRoot is committed to protecting your privacy:
- •Complies with IT Act 2000, DPDP Act 2023, and other Indian data protection laws
- •Collects personal, professional, assessment, and technical data
- •Uses data to provide services, facilitate recruitment, and improve platform
- •Implements encryption, access controls, and security audits
- •Does not sell personal data to third parties for marketing purposes
- •Users have rights to access, correct, delete, and port their data

13. Prohibited Conduct
Users must not engage in the following activities:
Academic & Professional Integrity Violations
- •Cheating in assessments or using unauthorized assistance
- •Plagiarism or submitting others' work as your own
- •Resume fraud or fabricating credentials
- •Impersonating other users or businesses
Technical Abuse
- •Unauthorized access to accounts or systems
- •Introducing malware or harmful code
- •Data scraping or automated extraction
- •Reverse engineering platform software
Other Violations
- •Discrimination or harassment of any kind
- •Spam or unsolicited commercial messages
- •Manipulation of scores, ratings, or rankings
- •Any illegal or fraudulent activities
17. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
- •The platform is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind
- •AlgoRoot disclaims all warranties including merchantability, fitness for purpose, and accuracy of AI assessments
- •AlgoRoot is not liable for indirect, consequential, incidental, or punitive damages
- •Total liability is capped at the amount paid in the last 12 months or INR 10,000 (whichever is less) for paid services, or INR 1,000 for free services
- •AlgoRoot is not responsible for job placement outcomes, third-party services, or data loss
- •These limitations reflect a fair allocation of risk and form an essential basis of the agreement
18. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AlgoRoot from claims arising from:
- •Your use of the platform or violation of these Terms
- •Your User-Generated Content or infringement of third-party rights
- •Prohibited conduct, fraud, or dishonest behavior
- •Claims by employers, recruiters, or other users
- •Unauthorized use of personal information or data protection violations
19. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India:
- •Governed by Indian Contract Act, IT Act 2000, DPDP Act 2023, and other Indian laws
- •Exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India
- •Parties agree to attempt informal resolution before formal legal proceedings
- •Disputes resolved on an individual basis (no class actions)
- •Claims must be filed within one (1) year of arising
16. Termination of Accounts
Accounts may be terminated under various circumstances:
Termination by You
- •You may terminate your account at any time
- •Your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy
- •Voluntary termination does not entitle you to refunds
Termination by AlgoRoot
- •We may terminate accounts for Terms violations, fraud, security concerns, or legal requirements
- •Serious violations may result in immediate termination without warning
- •Upon termination, you lose access to all services and pending rewards may be forfeited
20. Changes to Terms of Service
AlgoRoot reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time:
- •Material changes will be communicated via email, platform notification, or homepage notice
- •Changes become effective 30 days after notice for existing users
- •Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance
- •If you disagree with changes, you must discontinue using the platform
